I’m Avi, and my journey has been a unique blend of academic rigor, professional growth, and a bold leap into pursuing my passions. I graduated with degrees in math, physics, and chemistry, which gave me a strong analytical foundation. My curiosity didn’t stop there—I went on to earn a Master’s in Computer Applications and an MBA, equipping me with both technical expertise and strategic insight. For over 35 years, I thrived in the IT industry, taking on diverse roles in large organizations. I started as a software developer and worked my way up to senior leadership positions like Director, Vice President, and Head of Global Services. Each role challenged me to innovate, lead, and adapt in the ever-evolving tech landscape.

As an observant individual, I always had a keen interest in financial markets and technology, and have been managing my investments for over 20 years but in early 2024, I made the life-changing decision to leave the corporate world behind to focus on what truly excites me: trading and investments, travel, tennis, and spending time outdoors. Most importantly, I craved more time for myself and my loved ones. Since stepping away, I’ve poured my analytical skills into trading, achieving over 152% annual returns on my portfolio within just one year after leaving my job, surpassing major benchmarks – a testament to the discipline and curiosity that have always driven me.
My story is about balance—leveraging my expertise in new ways while embracing the freedom to live life on my terms. Whether I’m exploring new destinations, hitting the tennis court, or enjoying nature, I’m grateful for the chance to pursue what matters most to me.

I’m sharing a segment of my portfolio (below), showcasing results solely from day trading a few hours each week, excluding my long-term investments, 401Ks, dividends, options, and crypto holdings. A note on long term investing: I also maintain a dedicated portfolio and brokerage accounts for long-term investments, managed with the objective of outperforming the SPY.
