Investors are always looking for ways to play big trends — AI and electrification. The AI boom is no longer just a GPU or CPU story. As hyperscalers scale, the bottlenecks are increasingly in the area of power and automation. These industrial names, which all provide power and automation technologies, are likely to outperform the market. They are gas turbine makers Siemens Energy and GE Vernova, power technology providers Hubbell and Schneider Electric, and automation technology providers Honeywell, Emerson Electric, and Siemens.

According to Bloomberg, total capex by China’s major internet players could more than double from $13 billion in 2023 to $32 billion in 2025. The company recently showcased its newest AI reasoning model, Ernie X1.1, during the Wave Summit 2025 developer conference, which, according to the management highlighted improvements in factual accuracy, instruction handling, and agent-based functions. Benchmark testing suggested Ernie X1.1 outperformed DeepSeek’s R1-0528 in several categories. Consolidating before the next leg up is my read. looks good for trade and long.     CRWVNVDA+Open AI momentum got into CWRV. CoreWeave is the poster-child for NVDA AI-native cloud. In 2022 it had $16 million in revenue, and that was up to $3.5 billion in the last 12 months. Loop Capital raised the target to $165. 139129131+

    SOUNSoundHound AI jumped today as the company has recently agreed to acquire Interactions Corporation, an AI-driven customer service firm, in a deal valued at up to $85 million. This move is aimed at broadening SoundHound’s enterprise offerings and adding a diverse client base. The positive momentum was also fueled by a broader rally in the tech sector.18.716.517.2+
    TSLATesla has been on a momentum ride since 12th Sep and likely ready to fly upward. Piper Sandler analyst Alexander Potter boosted his price target on the stock to $500 from $400 following a trip to China.444424435+
    PLUGFuel cell technology company, $Plug Power, jumped over 20% after the company secured a $1.6 billion loan guarantee from the U.S. Department of Energy and benefited from a broader rally in clean energy stocks. The loan, which funded the construction of up to six new hydrogen plants in the U.S., signaling strong government support.42.092.4+

    Energy stocks in the age of energy hungry AI

    Energy sector is going to power the age of AI for the next few decades. As Melius-research puts is “much like Thomas Edison ushered in the era of electricity more than a century ago, artificial intelligence may be driving a new “Age of Electrification,” That’s an excellent summary. Energy companies are well positioned to power AI and will will be the biggest winners. The company likes, and I fully agree (and in fact I have been accumulating these name already) these names: CEG Constellation Energy, VST Vistra, NEE NextEra Energy, NRG NRG Energy, and TLN Talen Energy.

    AI computing requires vast amounts of power. “The energy sector is therefore the “enabler” of the AI revolution” as Melius puts it. These companies are locking in years long power purchase agreements with various data centers. Data-center electricity demand growth is estimated to hit 219 gig watts in 2030, up from 82 gigawatts in 2025, Melius said.
